I need a book to read.

--a book that is more compelling than the internet.

Dear reader: what are you reading?

  1. Right now, "In the Garden of Beasts" by Erik Larson is my happy diversion from grading. :)

  2. I've said it before and I'll say it again - you need to be reading Sarah Vowell's books. I just reread The Partly Cloudy Patriot, which reminded me of you.

  3. Anna Karenina! But you knew that. So good.
Also, Dear Sugar book, which is perfect to read because I can read just one letter. Down side: they always make me cry.

  4. I'm reading the Smitten Kitchen Cookbook. I think you would like it! Lots of beautiful fruits and veggies becoming sublime desserts and entrees.

  5. A Bunch of Amateurs: A Search for the American Character by Jack . I think his central thesis is bogus, but he tells good stories about amateurism in America.
