A moment and some words.

  3. Such a day. Such a wonderful day. And the words on your banner resonate: Get to work. It is time for just this now, so we make good on these inspiring words.

  4. I really hoped here though that he would launch into the meaning of happiness. He did go into the idea of those who only want fame and fortune right after that, but I thought it was a good opportunity to blow the idea of happiness wide open. It's such an American ideal--happiness--it would be a great opportunity to give it some holistic definition.

But, maybe in its vagueness, it has the most rhetorical power.

  6. Such a moment in time. I wept with happiness all day long.

Obama's speech was a good speech on a great day. He's done better, I think. But the soberness of his address and even the restrained tone were exactly what the event called for.
